Corissa Holland

A Dancer is an athlete from the waist down and an artist from the waist up.

Photo of Corissa Holland Corissa began her dance training at an early age at Rothesay Ballet School under Sylvia Logan. In her dance career, she has danced roles in multiple ballets such as The Nutcracker, excerpts of Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Giselle and Sleeping Beauty with Rothesay Ballet School and Gala Ballet Company. Corissa has performed with companies Motus O and Mocean Dance, and has enjoyed training with Frank Augustyn, Stacey Shiori Minagawa of the National Ballet of Canada, Igor Dobrovollskiy of Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada and more.

Corissa studied in the professional program of the Royal Academy of Dance and achieved her Intermediate in 2006, after which began teaching junior ballet classes at Rothesay Ballet School. Corissa graduated the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies Program through the Royal Academy of Dance and holds a Registered Teaching status with the RAD.

Her future plans as a dancer include achieving her Advanced 1 certificate. Corissa teaches Pre-Primary to Grade 8 in both the recreational and professional programs as well as Intermediate Foundation and Intermediate in the professional program. Corissa also enjoys teaching Senior Jazz and Conditioning.
